Winter Memories | Design Team: Nikki Sher
Hello fellow Layle by Mail Friends!
My name is Nikki Sher and I am thrilled to be showing you my first Design Team project as a part of the 2026 Layle by Mail Creative Team! This is truly a dream come true and I can’t wait to share my projects with you this coming year.
For my first project, I’ve created a Traveler’s Notebook Layout using the new Layle by Mail Season Pass 2.0 – 2026 Winter/Spring Collection. I’ve had these pictures of my mom and I visiting family in Rhode Island for years. I’m so glad I finally found a collection to use for them!
After picking the patterned paper for my background (the falling snow was just perfect), I added a few additional patterns to make sure the layout had enough color to it. Being that I hadn’t been in falling snow in a very long time, I really wanted to push the color and snow theme for this layout. I matted my photo in some matching light blue cardstock I had in my stash and then picked out the Die Cuts I wanted to use for my layout.
Of course, I needed to add some journaling to the project, but with a Traveler’s Notebook size layout you can sometimes be limited on where to put it. So I decided to hide my journaling behind the second photo. Using the Die Cuts and Rub-Ons, I was able to create a nice pull out journaling card. (Side note – did you know that the cover sheet of the Layle by Mail Season Pass Collection has a printed paper on the back? The Binder Paper print worked perfectly for my journaling card!) After adhering my photo and journaling, I was ready to finish the layout off with some more Die Cuts, Wordstrip Stickers and Rub-Ons! I just love the new Rub-Ons in the Season Pass Collection and they work beautifully!
