Travel Junk Journal - Shenandoah National Park
Another weekend away and another adventure added to the list! ✨
This time, I tagged along with Nick on a business trip to Washington, DC, and we made the two-hour drive to cross another destination off our National Park bucket list - Shenandoah National Park. 🏞️
We were treated to incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, walked a portion of the iconic Appalachian Trail, hiked to a beautiful waterfall, and soaked in all the scenery along the way.
Another unforgettable park adventure checked off the list! 🌿🥾✨

Super excited to use the brand new Layle By Mail National Park Love stamp set on this junk journal spread!!
I came up with the idea for the stamp early this month when we were on our way back from visiting Mesa Verde National Park.

This set is the perfect addition to your next visit to a National Park in your backyard or across the United States. Capturing all the details has never been easier.

The open circle on the stamp set is sized to fit the free ink park stamps! Did you know nearly all of the 400+ U.S. National Park Service units and affiliated sites offer free cancellation stamps to commemorate your visit? These ink stamps feature the park’s name, location, and the date you visit. You can find them at designated stamp stations inside visitor centers and park stores.

Learned something the first time using it... much easier to stamp the National Park stamp FIRST and then the open circle stamp around it SECOND. Because you can't see exactly where the National Park stamp is stamping, getting it centered in the already stamped circle can be challenging. From now on I'll stamp the National Park stamp and then the open circle stamp around it!
I love going to the Visitor Centers at National Parks almost as much as I love going to the National Park itself! I always pick up the park brochure and a few stickers to include in my junk journal. And of course, the park stamp.
On this strip we sat at a picnic bench in the park, had a picnic and I worked on my junk journal spread WHILE WE WERE THERE! A great way to get it done before you get home :)
No photos. Just the bits collected & glued in.
Easy. Peasy. Done. ✅
No pressure. Purely for play.
