Travel Junk Journal - Japan No. 2
Ahhh… still soaking in the magic from my 12 days in Japan last month 🇯🇵🍡🌸🍣🚆
I lived there as a little kid in the early–mid ’70s while my dad was stationed in the Navy. It’s funny what stuck with me - like how to say “thank you very much for dinner” in Japanese. 😂. So much had faded from my memory & so much has changed.
I completely fell in love with the country all over again - the people, the scenery, the culture, the efficiency… all of it.
🛍️ And don’t even get me started on the shopping! Or the egg salad sandos from 7-Eleven and every other convenience store. Yes, they’re a real thing… and they’re amazing! 😋

📖 Working away in my Traveler’s Notebook, capturing the trip. I love creating at least one junk journal–style spread - this time it’ll be at least three inserts plus several more layered, collage-style pages with alllll the memorabilia 😀

I created a custom travel inspired destination using the Destination Unknown Mini stamp set!
The Destination Unknown - Mini 4x6 stamp set includes 31 mix & match pieces to create your own personalized travel inspired destination stamps, just like the souvenir stickers you'll find in National Park & gift shops!
I stamped it on a piece of sticker paper and then used the Destination Unknown Mini Oval Metal Die with the Empress Elite Mini Die Cut Machine to cut the sticker out.

A great way to create your own location specific stickers!
One of my favorite ways to document a trip - junk journal style. No photos. Just the bits collected & glued in.
Easy. Peasy. Done. ✅
No pressure. Purely for play.

Already dreaming about the next trip… and those egg salad sandos 😉✨
