Hello fellow Layle by Mail Friends!

It’s Nikki Sher back to show you a fun Traveler’s Notebook Layout I created using several of the new stamp sets. Brandon and I went on “The Hunt” for a typewriter and of course, I had to feature the new Textures Ink Splatters 4x4 Stamp Set as it was a perfect match for the theme!

Since I knew I wanted to do a full page photo for the layout, I knew the other side would be for my journaling. I printed my journaling on one of the Lined Papers and then started stamping. Of course, I had to use the Poe Alpha Stamp Set since we were looking for a typewriter. I love how the ink splatter looks with the stamped title on top!

I love using full page photos for my layouts. However, I wanted the focus to be on the cranes – not the cars in the parking lot. Since I had a cute selfie that we took that day and the tickets, I was able to use those to cover up the part of the photo I didn’t want people to focus on. Now when you look at the photo, you’re drawn to the selfie and the cranes rather than the cars that were in the foreground. To further embellish the layout, I used the new Days of the Week Sunday Stamp Set, Tabs & Labels Stamp Set and a few fussy cut images from the 2026 Winter/Spring Season Pass Paper Pack.

The 2026 About Last Month Stamp Set is quickly becoming a favorite of mine! I used it to stamp the date and “Here’s the Story” title to draw peoples eye to the journaling. By stamping this in red ink, I was able to carry the color over from the photo so that the pages matched nicely and had a cohesive look. I also added some Ink Splatters to my photo mat, helping to create consistency between the two layouts.
