Summer Fun | Design Team: Jessica Michaels
Hey everyone! Jessica here, and I am so excited to show you this project today! I’m showing you another way to use the Spring/Summer Season Pass kit, in a 6x8 mini album! I just love how this season pass kit is full of fun embellishments and bright papers!
I started this spread with the bright and fun striped paper from the kit and cut it into a circle about 5.5 inches to go on some white cardstock. I grabbed three summer photos from our beach trip last year and matted them with white cardstock also. I distressed the edges of the striped circle and glued it down to the top portion of the page, cutting off the excess. I stamped a few phrases from the Season Pass Stamp Set, and added some hand stitching around the circle. Doesn’t it just make it POP?
I decided to use the SUMMER die cut piece for my title but add “at the lake” to it. I reached for the Typewriter Keys Alpha Stamp Set and Die bundle to make those letters with some black ink. I really love the effect they give with the bright and bold SUMMER title!
Next, I layered some of the word phrases from the season pass kit, a rub-on, and a die cut label. I also added some stamped butterflies that I created with papers from the kit and the coordinating stamp set. I stamped my date, added some splatters, scallops and flowers I had laying around here to finish this page off.
On the right side, I decided to do something different and grabbed a pocket page protector for my 6x8 album. I chose a couple of the pocket cards from the Season Pass papers and added some more hand stitching to them, and some rub-on embellishments. I did add a little mini clip as well from the Mini Clip Stamp and Die Bundle to go with my canvas flair from my stash. I absolutely love how the hand stitching and rub-ons enhance these pocket cards!
For the bottom portion, I have a full 4x6” photo of my son with a lighthouse in the background. Sons was a gorgeous spot to walk out and see it up close and personal and my son did not complain about posing for a photo! I added a large rub on sentiment from the Season Pass rub-ons and then some stars from the March Release Glimmers Rub-ons. I grabbed a tab for the top from the die cuts and added yet another rub on embellishment! Finished it off with alphas and an anchor from my stash! I just love how this came together so quickly and easily with these products!
