Spring Flowers | Design Team: Nikki Sher
Hello fellow Layle by Mail friends!

If you love the postage stamp trend as much as I do, you’re going to love this layout! As soon as I saw the free digital cut files Layle released for her 6th anniversary, I knew I had to jump in and create something right away.
It’s Nikki Sher back and today I’m sharing a fun Traveler’s Notebook layout using stamps, cut files, die cuts, and patterned paper from the brand new Season Pass 2.0 Spring/Summer Collection.

This cut file is perfect for including lots of photos—which is exactly what I wanted! I’ve been snapping pictures of spring flowers over the past month, and this layout was the perfect way to document all those beautiful blooms.
I resized the cut file in my electronic cutting machine software to fit a Traveler’s Notebook page (5” x 8.25”). Since not every postage section needed a photo, I mixed in patterned paper and layered in die cuts from both the Season Pass 2.0 Winter/Spring and Spring/Summer collections to add interest and variety.

For the left side of my spread, I wanted something that coordinated but still stood out. I used a single postage stamp cut file (linked here) and repeated the same patterned paper to tie everything together.
To really make a statement, I enlarged one of my favorite photos—a gorgeous ranunculus—and made it the focal point of the page. I added a few die cuts, then stamped my title in a rainbow color order using the Murphy Alphabet Stamp Set. A few Spring/Summer Wordstrip stickers finished off the page… or so I thought!

At the very end, I realized my layout needed just one more detail—black outlines around each stamp/photo block. Using a ruler and a black pen, I carefully drew thin lines around each section.
This small, last-minute addition made a big impact—it really helped each element pop and brought the whole layout together. (Pro tip: it’s definitely easier to do this step before adhering everything… but sometimes the best ideas come late, right?)
I hope you’ve enjoyed a closer look at my Traveler’s Notebook layout! Spring—full of fresh blooms and bright colors—is one of my favorite seasons to document, and this project captured that perfectly.
If you’ve been eyeing those cut files or your Spring/Summer supplies, consider this your sign to pull them out and start creating!
Wishing you a season full of creativity, color, and inspiration. And as always, please stay happy, healthy, and crafty!
Best,
Nikki Sher
