Hey everyone, Jessica here! Halloween is one of my favorite seasons to document, and this Moonlit Manor collection let me get back to my mixed media roots while doing it. I'm capturing two photos of the Halloween house down the street that goes all out with costumes and lights every year- a spot my kids and I look forward to all month long. Grab your distress oxides and let's build a grungy, layered background perfect for all those Halloween photos.
It's been a minute since I played with mixed media supplies, so today was the day! I'm documenting two photos of the Halloween house down the street that goes all out with costumes and lights every year- my kids and I love it so much we do a nightly drive by the whole month of October. I pulled out my distress oxides to build a fun mixed media background on some textured white cardstock, then layered in the Textures- Grids stamp set for extra depth in those Halloween colors.
For the focal embellishment, I stamped a large 31 with the Christine Large Numbers stamp set and heat embossed it in sparkle black powder, then fussy cut it to sit next to my photos. I added patterned paper from the small paper pad in this collection around the photos with embellishments tucked in- that sticker ghost is the perfect touch.
I loved the die cut bat at the top so I popped it up on 3D foam squares and pulled a few coordinating bat dies from my stash to join the party.
The Spooky title was perfect for the bottom, along with some journaling and candy corns! I used the Cooper Alpha stamp set to add Oct and Vibes around my title pieces- I love how buildable that set is, you can mix and match sizes and styles together so easily.
