Spooky Tunes Layout | Design Team: Marsha Farris

Hey there! It's Marsha Farris, and I'm sharing a fa-boo-lous project today using two new Layle By Mail stamp sets and the awesome Moonlit Manor collection!

I wanted to get a head start on my spooky season documenting by creating a page for my Fall/Halloween album.

To start, I trimmed a dot patterned paper from the Moonlit Manor paper pack to fit the album. It holds pages that are 5 x 8.25 inches—the same as a standard wide traveler's notebook. I stamped the cassette tape from the Cassette Tape Stamp Set onto white cardstock and used the coordinating pocket metal die to cut it out. I added a bit more stamping with the same stamp set and trimmed the creepy eyes from a patterned paper to embellish the cassette. Such a fun little touch!

I planned to document my retro Halloween playlist (mostly '70s and '80s music), so I looked up album covers for the songs on my Spotify list and saved them to my phone camera roll. I then made four photo strips to add to the pocket. Next, I trimmed a cut apart from the paper pack for my journaling and added more stamping with the same stamp set, along with a sticker tab from the cardstock stickers to the top.  

For the right page, I began my title by stamping with the Cassette Tape Stamp Set and adding a trimmed cut apart from the paper pack. I continued the title by stamping with the new Charlie Alpha Stamp Set using orange and black inks. I love this bold font — just perfect for titles! I also added a ghost sticker from the cardstock stickers to replace the Os in the word 'spooky'. I thought it worked since he looks like he's saying "boo"! Haha!

I selected more designs from the cardstock stickers to embellish the page and added music notes around it with the Cassette Tape Stamp Set.
