Simply Amazing View | Design Team: Marsha Ferris
Hey there, friends! It's Marsha Farris, and I'm sharing a project today using some of amazing products from Layle's Postcards & Passports collection!
I absolutely adore the Postcards & Passports collection, and I couldn't wait to pair it with a couple of stamp sets to create a traveler's notebook layout.
I wanted my photo to be in the center of the spread, so I printed it to 6 x 8.25 inches and trimmed it roughly in half. I planned to add hidden journaling, so I only added adhesive to three sides of the left portion of the picture.
For the title, I added a die-cut phrase from the Postcards & Passports - Die Cut Words along the edge of the page. To make the word "view" pop, I used the Tali Alpha stamp set, stamped each letter in an ombre of orange and pink inks on white cardstock, and then trimmed and adhered them in place. I love how the ombre effect adds a playful touch!
From there, I trimmed a tag from a patterned paper in the Postcards & Passports paper pack and added some stamping with the Documenting the Details stamp set. I typed my journaling, printed it on clear matte label sticker paper, and added it to the tag. The tag tucked in easily under the edge of the photo.
On the other page of the spread, I created a column of embellishments using the Postcards & Passports die cut icons and words. This is one of my go-to ways for adding lots of embellishments to a page without making it feel too busy! To complete the project, I added a bit more stamping with the Documenting the Details stamp set and black ink.
I had fun putting this layout together with Layle's Postcards & Passports collection and her stamp sets! Happy crafting!
