Simply Amazing | Design Team: Tai Cortes

Hello my crafty friends!  Its Tai and I have a fun 12x12 scrapbook layout featuring the brand new collection from Layle By Mail.  This collection is called ‘Postcards and Passports’ and its perfect for your travel memory keeping. 

The color palette is bright and cheerful and I immediately wanted to play with all these lovely papers.  The collection is available as a bundle or you can purchase items a la cart.   

Even though this collection is travel themed, I was able to document Mother’s Day with this collection too.  The colors are so bright and fun and worked well with the multiple photos I wanted to use.  I printed two collage photos, each had a 4x4 and 2x4 photo.  I mounted each photo with a white border across a white piece of card stock.  

I selected the grid patterned paper for my background (printed on the back of the cover sheet!) and then cut 1.5 inch stripes of paper from four of the 12x12 papers.  These were arranged vertically on my layout and in pattern.  The pinks, oranges stripes and text all gave interest to my background layers.  

The collection features icons and word die cuts and I auditioned out ones that would work for my page.  A lined up a few icons along the bottom and a few phrases around my photos.  I could have stamped out a large title with the new ‘Murphy’ alpha with this month’s release but ultimately decided the page was fine on its own.
