Personalized Typewriter Greeting Cards | Design Team: Shellye McDaniel

Personalize a card and type up a message with the adorable NEW Typewriter Stamp & Typewriter Pocket DieShellye McDaniel sharing a couple of card ideas that are perfect for Mother’s Day, Birthday or any day!

For each card I stamped the typewriter image onto two colors of cardstock. I used the Typewriter Pocket Die to cut out ONE of the images and then assembled by gluing the tabs and pocket backing together. Next, I fussy cut the “typewriter keys” portion of the second cardstock color, as well as around the knob and bar of the typewriter.  I used grey toned alcohol markers to color in the keys and space bar. These cut out pieces were then glued over the matching areas of the base piece.

Next, I used the typewriter letter stamps to spell out a name for the blank area of the typewriter.  I hot glued a couple of buttons around the name and then set the piece to the side.

The Spring patterns of paper and coordinating die-cuts were pulled from the Season Pass Winter|Spring Collection.  For each A2 card base I cut a patterned paper to 4” x 5 1/4” and then glued to the center.  I cut a matching piece of cardstock (the color of the fussy-cut area) to 3 1/2” x 4 3/4”, corner rounded the edges and attached to the center of the base paper with foam adhesive.

Next a 3X4 Journal Card was chosen from the Spring paper and trimmed down to 2 3/4” wide.  The top corners were corner rounded and then tucked into the typewriter’s pocket.  I embellished further with Spring die-cuts and the NEW Sentiments Die-Cuts   …there are 103 of them to choose from! The typewriter was then attached to the card front with glue and foam tape behind the journal card.

I hope that you enjoy all of the fabulous products from the March Release…they’re all a must-have and cover a wide variety of projects!
