Moonlit Manor Embellish Box | Design Team: Shellye McDaniel

Hello! Shellye McDaniel here bringing you an idea for your Halloween-themed crafty swaps, snail mail or grown-up trick-or-treater! This fun “Moonlit Manor Embellishment Box” starts with a dollar store plastic storage box and all things Moonlit Manor.

For the cover of the box, I traced the outline of the lid onto the plaid paper from the Paper Collection Kit and then attached with adhesive tape. Next I cut two thin strips of the striped paper from the Moonlit Manor 6X8 Paper Pad and added ric rac along one edge before attaching to the box with foam adhesive tape.

The little compartments inside the box were filled with crinkle paper before adding handmade embellishments to each. To the mini vinyl album, I simply cut 2X3 pieces of various patterned papers and tucked them into the slots. To the cover, the “31” die cut and star were attached with a foam dot.

For other fillers, I used mini tags, round metal edge tags, tiny clothespins and standard clothespins that were embellished in some way. For the yellow tags, I used the Christi Alpha 5X7 Stamp Set to stamp on the sentiments!

Small dies, such as the Postage Stamp Builder Dies, make the perfect sized embellishments for the box…and for crafting projects!

The metal tags were covered in a matching-sized circle of paper and then topped with Cardstock Stickers and Word Strip Stickers. Die Cuts Icons

I also made four mini hidden paper clips with leftover pieces of patterned papers and die-cuts. They actually work quite well with the little vinyl album!
