Love Pocket Album | Design Team: Shellye McDaniel

The month of “love” is upon us! Shellye McDaniel here today sharing a fun little album using the “February” papers from Season Pass Collection and the Diagonal Pocket Die.

I began with some heavy white cardstock from my stash and die-cut the Diagonal Pocket twelve times. For each of the six pocket pages, I glued two of the pockets together by mirroring the back pocket to the front.

Next, I used the same pocket die to cut the “Valentine” themed papers in the Season Pass Collection. I cut two pockets from the cherry, striped, bow, dot hearts, ditsy floral, and roses papers and then trimmed away the tabs from each page. The papers were arranged in an alternating pattern and glued to the front and back of each pocket page.

I chose to assemble the pages with the pockets alternating in height from left to right. A wire binding tool and three coil wire were used to hold the pages together. You could also use rings, ribbon, or discs for the binding!

To embellish the cover, I die-cut a large and small heart from the Hearts Die Set and layered them together with die-cuts from the Season Pass Die Cut Icons and Year In Review Die Cut Titles & Tags.

For the pockets, I added premade tags and the cut-apart journal cards from the matching themed papers. Other die cuts, little tabs of paper, and gems completed the album!

The pockets would also be great for adding personalized coupons or gift cards to and giving as a Valentine’s Day. Have the kids write love notes on the tags and give them to the grandparents…they would love it!
