London Travel Album | Design Team: Suzanna Lee
Hi everyone! Suzanna popping in today to share with you more pages from my London
travel album which I created with the Far & Wide collection.

For these pages, I color coordinated the pieces of the collection that I used, opting for
green and yellow as my primary color combination.

The left hand side of the spread is a large pocket with loose photos and a 4x6 pocket
card contained within the pocket. One of the photos has a few embellishments from the
die cut packs that serve as a pull for the photo, minimizing the fingerprints on this
particular photo as it’s one of my husband and I. The 4x6 journal card from the cut
aparts also has a tab, created with a punch from one of the 6x8 patterned papers and a
stamped phrase. Note the Big Ben is NOT from Layle’s collection.

For embellishment on the outside of the pocket I used one of the frames to create a
shaker. On the front of the shaker, one of the rub on’s “go and explore” adds a nice
black contrast to pop the green and yellow. Also note the black washi strip across the top of the page that grounds the page.

A large photo dominates the right hand page. There isn’t any décor here as I felt that
the photo was already rather busy. The flip is a flip that opens up to additional photos
and journaling.

More of the plethora of embellishments adorn this page, again with a focus on green
and yellow to tie the two pages together. The photos of us and Big Ben were at one end
of the many bridges of London. These photos at the Houses of Parliament are on the
north side of the bridge. The bottom cluster consists of a mix of die cuts, word phrases,
stamped sentiment and a rub on! I love building clusters!

This next page features all the colors thanks to the multi striped washi! I love how it
pops the colorful flowers in the photos on the left hand side of the page. The washi also
serves as a visual line that works with the top of the page.

The top of the page is a photo strip die cut that is cut in half length wise, allowing me to
use the other half elsewhere in the album. The blue scalloped border sticker really pops
the blue sky in the right hand photo. I took a chance and stamped partially on the New
City die cut. Sometimes the paper is too thick and I don’t always get the continuity of the
stamp but it worked out this time! Overlapping the stamp helps create a somewhat
layered effect.

The floral photo is actually a flip with two neighboring 3x4 pocket cards folded and the
photo sitting atop the back of the lefthand pocket card. My journaling is contained here.
Sometimes it’s nice to keep the clean lines of design and not have the journaling
interrupt that look you worked so hard to achieve. With the hidden journaling, you can
still tell the story and document the memory.
So many pages created and there are still so many fun embellishments to use! Good
thing I have a bazillion more photos to document (okay, that’s a slight exaggeration!)
with all this goodness!
Layle really knocked it out of the park with this travel collection!
