Joy Of The Season | Design Team: Tara Chaussee
Hi everyone! It’s Tara with Secretbees Studio and I am ready for December and all of its holiday fun and festivities! I have been making a December Daily for the last few years and I really enjoy the ease of just a picture and/or small journal post per day. It’s easy to keep up with and my favorite part is always looking back once the new year rolls around.
When Layle unveiled her new Dear December collection and I spotted the large, die cut numbers I knew this jolly collection would be my next December Daily! This collection is full of bright colors and so many charming embellishments that no matter the combination everything is stunning! Just look at this incredible, stuffed box of holiday goodies!
The base of the years December Daily is actually a clear shoe storage box. I cut off the bottom portion and then covered it with some of the pretty patterns of paper and layered an assortment die cuts on the front and sides! The clear box allows you to all of the beauty into just from the front but from the sides as well!
I created thirty-one cards in ascending height from about 2 inches to 5.75 inches with the smallest in front. The die cut numbers from the collection are attached at the top of each card along with the beautifully decorative icons, words and titles of the collection. The fronts of the cards have varying photo spots like frames, pockets, flips and turns while the backs have lined paper for journaling! So adorable!
There are so many fabulous cards and I had so much fun creating each and every one of them! Some are simple and some are extra fancy! It will be so enjoyable to see them all again when I attach a photo and do journaling for the days memory!
