Jolly Mini Album | Design Team: Shellye McDaniel
Hello! Shellye McDaniel here today with a sweet “Jolly Mini Album” featuring the newest Christmas line, Holly Days from Layle by Mail!
I started with an 8.5”X11” sheet of heavyweight chipboard that was cut in half. Next, I used white cardstock from my stash to cover just one side of each piece. The front cover was then dressed with patterned papers from the Holly Days 6X8 Paper Pad and the “jolly” cut-apart card from the 12X12 Paper Pack.
Next I selected and prepared all of the pages for the inside of the album so it could be wire-bound prior to decorating! I also made two “Seven Tuck Double-Sided Pocket Page” from one sheet of paper (Video tutorial is available on my Instagram: shellye.mcdaniel).
A few of the photo mats were machine stitched to keep with the handmade feel. I also embellished the mats with the rub-on transfers, stamped phrases and washi tapes from the collection!
Between the patterned pages, I also included some plain cardstock pages that were decorated with a tuck-spot and stitched pull-out photo mats. The top of several pages were embellished with mini clothespins dressed in a cute die-cut!
To complete the album, I tied on a cute ribbon bow to the wire binding and added a metal-rim tag topped with one of the cardstock stickers.
Add more pockets and fun flips to turn this album into an amazing 25 Days of Christmas memory book.
