Hidden Clips | Design Team: Shellye McDaniel

Shellye McDaniel here on the blog today with an addition to my previous “Summer Fun Double-Pocket Album” project: Hidden Summer Clips!

To get started, I grabbed leftover pieces of matching cardstock that was used on the album. The base papers were cut into 2” X 5” strips and folded in half at 2.5”. The corners were rounded.

A large, jumbo paper clip was clipped over the center of the folded edge.

Next, I took leftover strips of the patterned paper from the “Summer” themed papers used in the album as well. These papers were cut into 1.5” X 4.5” and folded in half. A spot of hot glue was added over the top of the paper clip (both sides) to hold the patterned paper strip in place.

The top layer of paper was die-cut using the In the Box-Scallop Die and then trimmed to fit centered over the patterned paper below. Next, stamps from the Textures Grid-4X4 Stamp Set were used to add even more pattern and color to the scalloped papers!

To finish the tops off, die-cuts, rub-ons and stickers from the Season Pass Summer|Fall Collection, were layered together with foam adhesive.

Finally, just slide the center of the base paper over a page to clip in place! These make the cutest decoration for any of your albums or traveler’s notebooks!
