Here's The Story | Design Team: Rachel Newman
Hello! It’s Rachel, aka @thelifefacilitator, and I’m having a blast playing around with several of the new stamps released this February. I always enjoy finding unique ways to use stamps, beyond their intended use, as you will see in this little journal spread.
Now I know the “In the News 3” stamp set is meant for documenting national and global news, but there are a few sentiments on this stamp set that make the perfect title for silly stories like this one. For this journal spread, I stamped the “Here’s the Story” sentiment as my title.
When I saw the postage builder frames, I knew I wanted to use them as a photo frame, as I did here. To do this, I stamped on the photo itself, trimmed the inside of the frame, and stamped again on a scrap piece of paper. This helps the stamp outline pop off the page.
I’ve used the textures Ink Splatter stamp set (from the January Release) in almost every spread. It is the perfect way to add a little bit of fun and whimsy to any spread. I used a die cut from the Simple Stories Take Note -Journal Bits to add my journaling.
