Hello June | Design Team: Nikki Sher
Hello fellow Layle by Mail friends!
It's Nikki Sher, and today I'm sharing another layout in my Traveler's Notebook album using the brand new Summer/Fall Season Pass Collection along with the new List Builder Divider and Texture Grids stamp sets.
When I first started planning this spread, I was immediately inspired by the heart patterned paper included in the collection. I loved the idea of creating a large focal point using that pattern, so I cut a heart from white cardstock and backed it with several of my favorite papers from the collection. Mixing the florals, stripes, gingham, and polka dots created a fun patchwork effect that perfectly captures the bright, happy feeling of summer.

To create a cohesive foundation for the spread, I used the dashed and solid line stamps from the new List Builder Divider stamp set to stamp around the edges of both white cardstock pages. Using my MISTI made it easy to line everything up and achieve crisp, even borders. The stitched look adds just enough detail without overwhelming the design.
For the heart, I wanted to continue the stitched effect around the outside edge so I hand drew the dashed outline, which ended up giving the heart a charming hand-stitched look.

Once the heart was complete, I masked it off and used the Texture Grids stamp set to add subtle background stamping behind my embellishment cluster. This is one of my favorite tricks for creating visual interest while still keeping plenty of white space on a page. The grid patterns help ground the embellishments and draw attention to the focal area without competing with the patterned papers.
I layered several die cuts from the Season Pass collection over the stamped grids, including the "Hello June" title, florals, labels, and date elements. The combination of bright colors and playful patterns makes the cluster feel cheerful and full of energy.

To balance the right page, I added a full-page photo from an evening walk with Brandon. The simple photo design allows the heart embellishment to remain the star of the spread while still documenting a favorite June memory. A die cut word strip at the top of the photo completes the layout and helps tie both pages together.
I love how this spread combines stamping, patterned paper, and die cuts while still maintaining a clean design. The new List Builder Divider and Texture Grids stamp sets are already becoming favorites in my stash, and I can see myself reaching for them again and again.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll see you again soon with another Layle by Mail project.
Happy crafting,
Nikki
