Gratitude Journal | Design Team: Rachel Newman
Hi! I’m Rachel, aka @thelifefacilitator, and I’m so excited to join Layle’s Creative Team! I sometimes feel like Layle is reading my mind when she is designing products, and this project is a really good example of that.

I’m taking my gratitude journaling to the next level by focusing on glimmers. A glimmer is something that brings you joy, comfort, or safety. The key to glimmers is actually stopping long enough to notice them! And since I’m taking the time to notice, I might as well document them, too! To start, I grabbed the Grateful Standard Wide Insert, where I will begin documenting my glimmers in 2026. I covered the left page with a blank lined page to make the title on the right page pop.

Using the Glimmers stamp set, I stamped out my title to read “Grateful for Glimmers” and stamped sparkles around the title. The great thing about stamps is the ability to change the color palette; I can use the same stamps each month, and it will look fresh, thanks to a color palette switch! Next, the numbers using the 2026 About Last Month Stamp set. Each number represents a week of glimmers.

While I could have covered the left page with pattern paper, I decided to stamp my own background instead. This was so fun to do and a glimmer in and of itself! These phrases perfectly capture the essence of glimmer gathering.

In the middle, I used the 2026 About Last Month Stamp Set to create a grid with the month and year inside. I will likely do something similar each month for continuity.
Do you document glimmers? If not, maybe this has given you some ideas on how to get started! Until next time!
