Grateful Layout | Design Team: Kristine Davidson
Hello Friends and Happy December!
It is snow and cold winter nights here on the East Coast and honestly it looks really pretty for Santa but for me I personally enjoy Palm Trees ;)
Today I am sharing a layout called "Grateful". It's a photo of my nephew and His Bear. He loves his little bear and takes him everywhere he goes. Did you have a little bear growing up? I had a pink blanket and it was the perfect thing to keep me safe from monsters and ghosts that were hiding under my bed LOL!
I used the Fall papers from the Season's Pass 2.0 Fall/Holiday Collection. I wanted to try something different with the stamps that came in the collection but I mostly use stamps for cards and not layouts but this was something different for me.
Before I started stamping on my lined paper, I added small drops of paint and then added the leaves around those paint drops. It created something different which is what I was looking for.
Adding layers to my layouts is one of my favorite things. I added shapes of leaves and some of the diecuts in the package. I added a light brown ink with a sponge to the edges just to add a bit of dimension.
To add some journaling I printed on white cardstock using a typewriter font. I didn't want to use my own handwritting on this page and this font was perfect. I added a few more details such as sewing with a thick thread and I left it there for vision effect.
