Glimmers of Happiness | Design Team: Junell Kruzel
Hello everyone! Junell here on the blog today! Sometimes when I get stumped on story ideas, I will look through my camera roll and see what I took multiple photos of. I found these selfies I took on an unusually warm day when I couldn’t wait to get out of the house and get some fresh air, and that became my story! The Glimmers rub-ons were perfect for this story!
I loved this pretty patterned paper and wanted to use it across from my photos. I really liked how the softness of it complimented the softness and colors of the photos. I added a 3x4 card from the cut apart sheet in the Spring/Summer Season Pass.
I added my journaling on clear matte sticker paper and placed it on the 3x4 card. I then went through the word phrase stickers and made a border on the top and bottom of both the card and the photo page to tie it together. Then I added a Glimmer rub-on as my title and then also above and below the 3x4 card.
I wanted something more to tie the left and right sides of the page together, so I used more rub-ons to add a little cluster between the columns of photos. The little flag was the same pattern as my paper so it worked perfectly.
My final touch was some stitching. I drew a box around my card and boarders and then made a simple back stitch boarder in a coordinating color. I think it really polished it off!
