Glimmers & Good Vibes | Design Team: Jessica Michaels
Hey everyone, Jessica here! I'm back with another passport size spread for my 52 Favorites travel notebook! This is a project I've done for a couple years now — one favorite photo per week, all housed in a little passport size mini album. Today I'm using the Layle by Mail Season Pass and June Release, and honestly the summer icons and glimmer stamps felt like such a perfect fit for the kinds of moments I've been capturing lately. Let me show you how this one came together!
This year's passport size 52 Favorites travel notebook feels a little more meaningful to me. I've been noticing "glimmers" all around me lately — those small, sweet moments like when my baby girl spots me across the yard and says "Mama" with the biggest smile. I want to remember these.
For the left page, I started with the striped background paper from the Layle by Mail Season Pass, then added that exact photo of her cheesing it up for the camera. The Glimmers 3 stamp set was the perfect fit here — I stamped the glimmers phrase right at the top of my photo and filled everything in with Season Pass rub-ons and embellishments. Journaling goes at the bottom, week number at the top, and that side is done!
For the right page, I grabbed a simple grid paper from Layle's shop — I love using it as a base when I want to layer in a lot of color. Choosing just one photo this week was genuinely tough. I almost did a collage, but I went with this one of my husband and me at Waldameer amusement park during a family outing. It's important to me that my kids can flip back through these books someday and see photos of us too, not just them.
I used some washi tape to tuck hidden journaling behind my photo with one of the 3x4 journaling cards from the Season Pass kit, then added die cut embellishments and stamped stars and phrases from the Season Pass stamp set. My date stamp went on both pages to finish things off.
The summer icons and glimmer stamps from the June Release were such a great match for this kind of everyday memory keeping — fun and a little sparkly without being too much. I just love how satisfying it is to flip back through these spreads later!
