Glimmers | Design Team: Tai Cortes
Hello my crafty friends! Its Tai.
For today’s Traveler's Notebook spread, I am using stamp sets in Layle By Mail's March release. My project is documenting a day at the zoo as a chaperone for my daughters class.
The alpha stamp is called Reggie Large Lower Case Alpha Stamp Set and then the In the Envelope Stamp & Metal Die were both released in March. These two sets are a great addition to the LBM collection.
My first step was to select a photo and print it to fit the length of the insert with room to spare for stamping. So it is 8.25 x 3.25, leaving enough space for the title ‘glimmers’ to be stamped with the ‘Reggie’ alpha. I used Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink.
I then stamped the envelope onto a pretty floral patterned paper from my stash and used the metal die to cut it out. I placed it towards the bottom of the page with the intention to put something inside.
I took so many photos on this day that I wanted to print more tiny ones to show all the moments of joy I had all in one day. The photos are 1 inch x 1.5 inch in size on a piece of patterned paper. The colors all match too. In order to spice up the background of the envelope, I used the 3 floral stamps in the ‘Grateful’ stamp set. It looks like an explosion of flowers coming up from the envelop. I stamped them in colors that matched the patterned paper.
