Frame Cards | Design Team: Nicole Nowosad
I am happy to be back on the blog to share with you another creative team project with you today featuring the new Summer/Fall Season Pass collection and several Layle by Mail stamps from the July release!
When I first saw the In the box – Frames stamps and die set, I just knew that they would be one of the first sets I was going to use from this release. I stamped a few of the frames onto simple white cardstock and with the help of the co-ordinating die, got to work to getting them trimmed out. I just knew the frames would be the perfect size to decorate and embellish some cards (and I have more ideas too for later!)
Once the images were stamped, I used Distress inks and added ink to my glass working pad. I added a few drops of water to each color and then used that to “watercolor” in parts of the frames – border and inside area. I set them aside to dry.
I decorated each frame in different ways mixing in rub-ons, more stamps from the June release as well as word stickers and die cut icons on each card front.
You could use these frames on their own for so many decorate things, but I added in some papers from he Summer/Fall Season Pass collection to add more pops of color and it works perfectly!
