Fowler Playground | Design Team: Jessica Michaels
Hey everyone, Jessica here! Park 14 is done and it might be one of my favorite spreads yet! I switched up my usual layout for this one, going full page with photos because this park deserved the spotlight, and paired it with the brand new Layle by Mail August release on the opposite page. Here's how I put it together.
Park 14 in the books! I decided to switch things up and do a full photo spread on the left side of my 26 Parks of 2026 travel notebook, since this one earned a full page all to itself. Some die cuts from the Far and Wide collection really made the photos shine!
On the right side, I built my usual date grid with the 2026 About Last Month and Tali Numbers stamp sets, mixing up my ink colors to pull from my photos and tie in with the Far and Wide collection.
Instead of stamping the park name at the bottom like I normally do, I grabbed the brand new Rate It stamp set from the August release and stamped a 5 star rating there, then used the new Christi Alpha to stamp the park name all crazy and fun underneath, because that's exactly the vibe this park had. I stamped the "gr" in Playground in a darker navy to play off the "awesome" stamped below it from Rate It.
From there I used the List Builder - Dividers set to add some black lines dividing up the page, added a few Far and Wide die cuts, and stamped a thumbs up, coloring the sleeve to match before topping it with a rub-on from Far and Wide since we spent that day sightseeing.
For the journaling, I wanted something with a little more depth, so I die cut "the story" die twice on my manual machine, once from Far and Wide blue patterned paper and once from black textured cardstock, then glued them together for a shadow effect. Such an easy way to make printed journaling pop. I finished the spread with my journaling, a few more die cuts, a bakers twine bow, and the smiley rating colored in with Copic marker to match the stars up top.
