Focus On The Memories!
Hi everyone! It’s Tara with Secretbees Studio and I have another fabulous Layle By Mail stamp project to share with you! This one focuses on (pun intended!) the new Camera stamp and coordinating die that Layle released in September. The big camera stamp and die are intended to be used as a decorative page pocket but I turned it into an adorable photo holder!
I first stamped the camera onto some Simple Stories patterned paper from the Heartstrings collection and then added in matching colorful accents with additional patterns. I added in a sparkly lens and just a few embellishments to really show off the shape of the camera! The sweet sentiment on the front is one of several that is included in the camera stamp set!
The coordinating camera die has tabs on the sides and bottom to turn it into a page pocket and I used those tabs to adhere a simple box made from the same paper pattern as the camera. I added additional pieces of patterned paper to the inside of the box for strength and added some rubber bumpers to the bottom for height.
There are four more sentiment stamps in the set and I wanted to make those a highlight of photo frames and a journal card that would fit inside the box. I stamped the sentiments onto more coordinating patterned paper and then layered them along with small embellishments from the paper collection onto three frames and a Layle By Mail Library Journal card and pocket. Two of the sentiments were cut out with dies from the Tabs and Labels die set for a bit of visual interest before adhering.
I created more inserts using journal cards and tags from the Heartstrings paper collection and added those into the box along with all of the embellished frames! There is still plenty of room to add even more photos, journaling or even some small mementos!
