Favorite Book | Design Team: Marsha Farris

Hey there, friends! It's Marsha Farris, and I'm excited to share a project today using a few of Layle's stamp sets and a metal die.

Reading is one of my favorite pastimes, so I thought it would be fun to make a traveler's notebook spread documenting one of my recent five-star reads.

To begin, I printed out a few of the quotes I saved while reading the book onto white cardstock. I often save quotes as I read, so I was excited to find a way to use them on a project! I stamped four of the boxes from the In the Box - Quotes stamp set to frame the quotes using distress oxide inks in Fossilized Amber, Bundled Sage, and Festive Berries to match the patterned paper I had chosen for the background. I then used the coordinating In the Box - Quotes metal die to cut them out. I arranged the boxes in a grid and added a few stickers from my stash to embellish the page.

On the right side of the layout, I added a dot-patterned paper at the top and printed an image of the book cover to include. I printed my journaling on white cardstock, trimmed it out, and added it below the photo.

I used the Favorite/Current stamp set to stamp the title and a stack of books. To complete the page, I stamped the date and five-star rating, then added a few stickers to embellish the spread.

This was such a fun reading TN layout to make using Layle By Mail products!
