EEK TN Layout | Design Team: Nikki Sher

Hello fellow Layle by Mail friends!

The 2026 Fall/Winter Season Pass 2.0 has arrived, and I’m loving it! As I’ve mentioned before, Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, so when I saw the October portion of the collection, I knew I had to create a layout with it immediately!

For this Traveler’s Notebook layout, I created my base using an orange tone-on-tone patterned paper from the November portion of the collection. Remember—just because a paper is included for a particular month doesn’t mean you have to use it that way! I love looking through the entire Season Pass and finding different colors and patterns that work with the story I’m telling.

I knew I wanted to feature the fun harlequin pattern on my layout, so I cut it to span across both pages and then layered in the black-and-white stripe for some additional contrast.

I still had a few pieces left from the Moonlight Manor Collection, including some of the Large Die Cuts, and they coordinated perfectly with the new Season Pass. The large spiderweb was exactly what I needed to add another layer to the right side of the layout and help ground my embellishment cluster.

For my photos, I pulled some coordinating green cardstock from my stash and used it to create thin mats. I love how that little pop of green pulls out the green in the patterned paper and embellishments while still letting all of that fabulous orange and black take center stage.

Then it was time for my favorite part—embellishing! I pulled several pieces from the 2026 Fall/Winter Season Pass Die Cut Pack and started building a little Halloween scene around my photos. I especially love that adorable witch stirring her cauldron!

Since I already had my Moonlight Manor leftovers out, I couldn’t resist mixing in a few more stickers and die cuts from that collection. One of the pieces worked perfectly for my “EEK” title and helped bring even more of those black and gray tones into the design.

For my journaling, I printed the story onto clear printable sticker paper and adhered it to a sticker to create a simple journaling block. Using clear sticker paper allowed the pattern underneath to peek through while still giving me plenty of room to tell the story.

To finish everything off, I scattered a few bats and stars around the layout and added one last little spider. And obviously, that spider needed googly eyes! Sometimes it’s those tiny details that make a layout extra fun.

I love how this layout came together! Not only did I get to play with some of my favorite pieces from the new 2026 Fall/Winter Season Pass 2.0, but I was also able to mix in a few leftovers from Moonlight Manor while documenting some of my favorite photos from my birthday last fall.

I hope this inspires you to dig into your Season Pass collections and really make them your own. Mix the different months together, pull in pieces from older Layle by Mail collections and don’t be afraid to use something in a completely different way than you originally imagined. That’s half the fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and happy crafting!

Best,

Nikki
