DIY Traveler's Notebook Cover | Design Team: Tara Chaussee

Hi everyone!  Tara here with Secretbees Studio and fabulous, 'made it myself' Traveler's Notebook Cover.

Sometimes you just want your cover and the inside goodies to match and with all of the amazing patterned papers in the Winter/Spring Season Pass Kit, it’s super easy and fun to make a beautiful one!

I started with this charming blue polka dotted pattern and cut it down to 11.5” in width and 8.75” in length. This is plenty big enough to cover several inserts and/or  organizational pockets! Plus, the inside is just as adorable as the outside!

The left inside of the cover features a large full-size side pocket with two smaller pockets on top. Lots of openings here for photos, important documents and memorabilia! I created a tag and then layered in some of the 3x4 journal cards too! All of them are decked out with the super cute die-cuts of the Season Pass collection.

This cover has two string holes in the spine and I added just one elastic thread to each but you could easily add two threads to hold four or more items. I separated the two patterns on the 8.5” x 11” paper and created a small tabbed notebook. The first tabbed section is smaller and holds narrow lengths of paper perfect for writing lists! and the second section is a bit larger and holds 4 inch wide paper.

For the notebook, I simply added a patterned paper cover to one of the Layle By Mail blank inserts. I added an additional strip of paper to one side and layered that with a round label and the sweet wagon die-cut loaded with spring blooms!
