Hi guys, Layle here!
I’m excited to introduce something new on the blog - the 5 Ways Design Series! In this series, we’ll be showcasing different stamp sets and sharing five creative ways to use them.
It’s designed to spark new ideas, help you get more value out of the supplies you already own - or are thinking of purchasing! - and show just how versatile each set can be... whether you’re feeling stuck, short on time, or just ready to try something new.

A very exciting addition to the Layle By Mail stamp line up are the 7 individual 4x4 photopolymer clear acrylic stamp sets featuring 7 styles of the Days of the Week! The 7 sets are also available in a
bundle!
I have put together five ideas of how to use these super versatile stamps. The pages are TN wide size to fit in Layle’s TN notebooks but you could adapt the ideas to fit your project!
1. Things To Do List
One of my favourite of the seven styles for each day of the week is the bold circle with the day in the middle. Monday is my least favourite day of the week :) so I thought I would jazz up a to do list to make Mondays more fun.
I stamped and masked multiple layered library cards and kept the top one for my list. The other cards are just for decoration and fun! I stamped the Monday circle with two shades of ink on my stamp platform to make it a featured embellishment. I used a circle punch to finish off making the embellishment. I also stamped the small M rectangle and trimmed off the bottom and adhered as a faux tab to one of the library cards.
2. Custom Planner Spread
The beauty of having your own Days of the Week stamps is that the possibilities for custom planner spreads are endless! On this spread I focused on the small days of the week inside the lined rectangle, to me they are perfect for a planner spread.
I did some math and some measuring and came up with some boxes that would give me seven spots to add a few notes through the week and two extra spaces for extra information. On this spread I chose a story prompt stamp from the Document the Details stamp set and a goal stamp from Goal Getter.
I made sure to leave room for dates and I used the numbers from the 2026 About Last Month stamp sets. You could also use Layle’s Month by Month Sticker book for tiny date stickers! Try making your own planner spread by starting with a sheet of copy paper, your stamps and a ruler and pencil, make some grids, boxes and columns and see what works for you!
3. Highlight a Day of the Week
Sometimes I find that having a stamp set can prompt my thinking of how to tell a story. This story along with this photo could have been told from a few different angles, when I looked at the photo I saw that it was Sunday, January 4th. I let the idea of Sunday take the lead for the pages.
Math to the rescue again as I got started. I measured the insides of the Scallop box and realized Sunday would nestle in beautifully. I made 4 text boxes in photoshop for my journaling and once printed I stamped the scallop box on top of my journaling and fussy cut all 5 boxes. I used my stamp platform for the Sunday scallop box to make sure I had a great stamp impression.
You could easily turn any photo or story into a day to be highlighted in your notebook, it could also be a rough day, I know I could add a story about how I feel about Mondays as well!
4. Seven Days of Possibilities
While I was making rough drafts for custom planner spreads I made this grid. It’s super simple and that’s probably why I love it so much. I love that two of the stamps fit beautifully in the rows and I really love having the side column to decorate or create a theme for the rows. This type of seven day list could be used for gratitude, habit tracking through the week, a self care list, meal planning, what you ate, a routine, anything that you want to document!
Of course I had to add a rainbow to one of my spreads and I love the pops of color with the little rectangle stamps, I used the 2026 About Last Month for the dates, the Tali alpha for the month and the prompt for this list will be Bits & Pieces of Joy each day of that week. I think it will be fun to fill this out in March!
Next is the same spread layout with the 7 rows and one column used in a different way. I made this spread to document our week of cleaning!
I made an embellishment the same way I did in idea 1 with the Tuesday circle this time, I think these outlined days of the week stamps would be adorable colored in as well!!
5. Daily Journal
I love the idea of taking a deep dive into a day once and awhile, for this spread, I chose a random Wednesday ( because I LOVE the fun big Wednesday stamp) and used In the Boxes 2 to create a bunch of little spots for small things that happened throughout the day.
Having all these little spots gave me the opportunity to find sentiments from other Layle stamp sets that would fit the boxes and help me tell stories from the day. I kept the other side of the spread super simple with photos and a short description.
I hope you have found some inspiration for using your Days of the Week stamp set or sets! There are so many exciting creative ways to use your stamps, the most important thing is to play!
