Glimmers of Happiness Layout | Design Team: Junell Kruzell
Hello everyone! Junell here on the blog today! There are so many June glimmers, but one that I really love is my afternoon iced coffee that I make myself and I only drink during the hot, summer months.
I really love this green and white striped paper, it just felt fresh and summery to me, so I started by cutting that down to the correct size. I then cut a smaller white cardstock down to be the base of my layout and I rounded the corners. I printed my picture and rounded the corners on that as well.
I then went about creating my clusters. I started by using the Textures Grids stamp set to create the base layer. I chose a yellow ink to match the lemons. I then used the List Builder Dividers to create corners on the bottom left and top right to anchor those clusters and give some definition to those areas.
I stamped my title “Glimmers of Happiness” from the Glimmers 3 stamp set and “Loved This So Much” from the Season Pass Summer/Fall stamp set. I looked through the die cuts from the kit and chose some lemons to layer and adhered those down.
It worked out so well that my photo had lemons on it with blue leaves, so the blue word phrase stickers coordinated really well. I selected some to add more to the clusters. Then I finished the clusters with some actual glimmers from the Glimmers stamp set. I finished up by typing my journaling in Canva and adhering it down onto the page. I used StazOn ink to add some glimmers onto my journaling. Because it is sticker paper I needed it to not smear. I also stamped the month and year at the end of my journaling.
