December Daily - Day 12

Each day here on my blog I'll be sharing my foundation pages (the base page I had ready to go before the month, using my 2022 December Documented Mini Book Project Kit) and the finished pages along with the supplies I used.

Day 12 - Christmas Lists (current & dating all the way back to 2004!)

Christmas lists. They've been a staple in my December Daily books for the last 15 years! It's so fun to flip through the books and see how the things on our boys' lists have changed and how their lists have changed themselves as a result of technology.

I've been saving their Christmas lists & letters to Santa ever since they were old enough to write....

Of course I photocopied their lists and letters to Santa back then before I mailed them off ;)

Before I started doing a yearly December Daily book 15 years ago, I was storing their lists and letters in a box that I made. It's my favorite Christmas decoration to get out each year and go through.

This year I thought it would be fun to include a photo of some of their old lists - dating back to 2004! - in my book.

I created a pocket on the right side of the spread by scoring an 8x12 piece of paper and then folding it behind itself.

For the last few years our boys have been texting me their lists with links to buy - certainly makes it easier to shop, but it also takes some of the magic out of the whole process of handwritten lists, right?

I still include their lists, though! I simply screenshot their texts, printed them out and inserted in the pocket, including those from their girlfriends :)

Those lists going back to 2004 - some of my most cherished possessions!

These are the foundation pages from the 11th; I ended up using them on the 12th instead :)
