December Daily - Day 17

Day 17 and the story of the letters to Santa box.

It's one of my favorite, most cherished 'decorations' that I bring out every year. A box that I decorated many years ago and started adding the Christmas lists the boys wrote to Santa every year.

I added the letters they wrote every year until I started doing these December Daily books 13 years ago and started adding their lists to the book each year.

Back then they would write their lists to Santa, then I would 'mail' them off. Though they ended up in this box instead of the mailbox ;)

It was years later when I showed the boys what was in the box. The box they had been seeing for years as little kids and never opened to see what was inside!

I love looking through the lists & seeing their messy, cute writing & seeing what was a on their lists back then.
