December Daily 2023 - Day 1

So excited to jump into December Daily again this year - my 16th year in a row doing this amazing project about documenting memories each day in December.  Read more about my journey with December Daily here.

Each day here on my blog I'll be sharing my foundation pages (the base page I had ready to go before the month, using my 2023 December Documented Mini Book Project Kit and the finished pages along with the supplies I used (linked at the end of each post).  

Let's jump in with Day 1 - 

Here are the individual pages that make up Day 1 -

I started out with a  2x2 pocket page - I love having see through peek a boos in my books :)

I'm all for keeping it real every year as I document December, and the 1st was no different... kicked off the month with a very unexpected & surprising invoice in the mail from Verizon.  Someone had opened an account under my name and address, for SEVEN brand new iPhones, along with a 36 month contract for each one.  They didn't pay a thing.  The invoice was the first of 36 invoices, totaling almost $15,000 over 3 years!!

BAH HUMBUG to say the least, right?!  

I spent a good portion of the day on the phone with Verizon, filing a police report & running credit reports & freezing my credit with the 3 credit bureaus.

What else do you do?!  Cross your fingers, hope that's all that happens, that Verizon takes care of it and move on.  :) 

I printed a photo of a stack of iPhones from the Internet, adhered to a library card pocket, stamped a library card, added my journaling & then slid in the pocket and adhered to another page.

I created a shaker in one of the 2x2 pockets using the Fuse tool -
