Day 3 - Holiday magic + tips on embellishment & sticker placement

Here are the individual pages that make up Day 3 -

I always seem to be racing through the holidays with so much to do that I rarely slow down long enough to enjoy the magic of the season.  But yesterday morning, this view made me stop in my tracks - and I knew I needed to document it.

The sunlight streaming through the windows and adding that special sparkle to the room... you don’t have to focus only on the big moments… it’s the little ones like this that have made this project so doable for me for the past 18 years!

Download my free December Documented Idea Sheet for inspiration & ideas on those days when you think you don't have anything to document, like yesterday!

Whenever I’m adding dimensional embellishments to a pocket page, I always attach them to the top of the page protector. Adding them before sliding the card or page into the pocket tends to create too much bulk and can cause the pockets to warp.

That said, it can sometimes be tricky to know exactly where to write. When I want my journaling to wrap around an embellishment, I lightly place the embellishment on top of the card first, write around it, slide the card into the pocket, and then adhere the embellishment to the outside of the pocket page.  No guessing, no stress... just an easy way to get it right!

Another little trick when it comes to easily placing letter stickers...  I use a small metal ruler & tweezers...

Placing the stickers on the ruler with tweezers gives you much more precise & straight placement.

Then hold the ruler over what you want to adhere them to, move it around until you find your spot, press down on the tops of the stickers & then gently roll the ruler out from underneath the stickers.
