December Daily 2024 | Day 16

Each day here on my blog I'll be sharing my foundation pages (the base page I had ready to go before the month, using my 2024 December Documented Mini Book Project Kit and the finished pages along with the supplies I used (linked at the end of each post).

I'm a few days behind, continuing to catch up... and that's ok!!

Day 16 - Secret Santa

This year our family adopted a family for Christmas, 'secret santa' style. My cute mom & I shopped and then Nick and I... with a little supervision from Reggie the cat, wrapped the presents & boxed them up to ship. Adopting a family is such a special way for our family to give back during the holidays. It's something we've done, in one way or another, since our kids were little.

I had created a pocket on my original foundation page by fussy cutting the trees & buildings from a piece of 6x8 paper. The page was originally INSIDE of the pocket page; I thought it would be more fun to attach the fussy cut piece to the OUTSIDE of the pocket page. That makes it easier to pull out the photos to look at AND gave me the opportunity to have fun with a little glitter :)

I 'drew' on the snow with a glue pen, sprinkled glitter on top of the glue, then dumped the excess glitter off onto a piece of scrap paper, then back into the bottle.

I tapped the page a few times to remove any excess glitter.

Tucked 3 photos inside the pocket - my mom while we were shopping, Nick & Reggie as we were wrapping & the presents before we packed them up to ship.

There's 'snow' in the bottom pocket of the right page; when I was teaching the project at the Lizzy Loo Christmas Bash in November, my friend Erin added the snow to the pocket for me & used a Fuse to seal it shut. Such a fun way to add extra fun to your pocket pages!!
