December Daily 2023 - Day 4

Each day here on my blog I'll be sharing my foundation pages (the base page I had ready to go before the month, using my 2023 December Documented Mini Book Project Kit and the finished pages along with the supplies I used (linked at the end of each post). 

Day 4 - the 'birthday door' tradition

The 4th is always a fun one in my December Daily books every year... it's our youngest son Sam's birthday!  The photo on the 4th is always Sam standing in front of his birthday door.

This year I used a printable from In a Creative Bubble to do a side by side photo of Sam on his birthday back in 2007 and in 2023. 

I started a tradition with our boys when they were little - after they go to bed, the night before their birthdays, we decorate their bedroom door like a giant present, wrapped with paper, bows & little goodies attached.  

It's fun to see how he changes from year to year looking at the same picture.  If you looked at my past 14 December Daily books, you'd see a similar story each year on the 4th.  

Added a bit more journaling on another In a Creative Bubble printable.

I added one more printable on the back.

Here's my original Day 4 foundation page; when I saw the side by side printable I knew I wanted to go an entirely different direction vs my original foundation page.  I may end up using my original page for another day this month :)
