Day One Document December Layout | Design Team: Jessica Michaels
Hey Everyone! Jessica here, and I am so excited to share my first design team project with you featuring the Dear December collection! I’ve decided to document the month of December for 2026 in a travel notebook this year and I’m loving it so far!
I started my Day 1 spread with the dear December cut file from the Digital Traveler’s Notebook Cut File bundle. Once I cut the design on my Cricut with some textured black cardstock from my stash, I used two of the patterned papers from the Big Bundle kit to glue to the side of my cut file to create a flap for inside my front cover. I really love the scallop paper, and chose to cut a strip of that so it would be the edge peeking out! I adhered with some easy tear tape as it is super sticky and durable. Then I simply added a couple die cuts from the Icon ephemera pack.
Next, I wanted day 1 of my December Daily to be very clean and just feature some journaling since I didn’t have any photos from that day. I printed my journaling with my printer on some clear sticker paper and used the No 1 die cut from the numbers pack. I just love that all the numbers for each day are unique but yet they all coordinate together! I placed my No 1 above my journaling and added a stamped binder clip with the Mini Clips Stamp and Die Bundle Set.
I then added a scallop border to the right side of the page, and the Santa die cut from the Icons pack. I thought he was pretty appropriate for how I feel in December! I pulled out some red ink and stamped the ‘tis the SEASON phrase, along with some black stars from the Mini Icons stamp set.
It still felt a tad off balance so I added one of the holly and star stickers from the Icon sticker sheet and then some wordy bits from the Wordstrip sticker sheet. VOILA! Easy and day 1 is done!
