Hey there, friends! It's Marsha Farris, and I'm sharing a holiday layout using Layle's stamps and metal dies along with the Dear December collection!
For this spread in my December album, I wanted to document the books on my to-read list for this month. I printed the book covers, arranged them on white cardstock trimmed to fit the album, and left a few spots for embellishments. The Dear December Die Cut Icons pack is full of fun images, so I selected a few to fill the open spaces in the grid.
For the other side of the spread, I created the title by combining the Poe Alpha Larger Lower Case and the Month By Month - December stamp sets. I then used the Mini Icons - Bows Stamp Set to add a bow to the "i" in the word "festive." Such a cute little added detail! The Things To Do stamp set had the perfect sentiment to complete the title- "Books To Read." I stamped it in black ink, die cut the image with the coordinating metal die, and used colored pencils to add color to the books and the bookshelf. I love how it turned out!
I also used the tree image from the Month By Month - December stamp set to add a line of trees to fill in the space below the bookshelf. To complete the spread, I added my journaling (printed on clear matte label sticker paper), trimmed two patterned papers from the collection, and added a strip of each to the top and bottom of the page.
This was such a fun and festive layout to make using lots of Layle By Mail products!
