Back to School | Design Team: Tai Cortes
Hello my crafty friends! It's Tai and I have a back to school project to share using products from the Summer/Fall Season Pass.

Each year I keep an insert, labeled with my daughter's current school year, with stories all about her. I started this annual insert tradition back in preschool and now we are in 2nd grade. Any stories pertaining to her and her school year go into this insert. Each insert begins with our annual 'first day of school' photos and school supplies shopping story. The stories that I usually include are; school projects, school events, currently, a bedroom snapshot, songs she sings, movies that are on repeat, halloween costumes, classroom birthday celebration, book fairs, field trips, after school activities, recitals, current friends, scores on test, any illnesses and 100 day T-shirt. All are about her and all shall fit in one insert per year. Thus far, I have kept up with this project.

For my project, I am using the school themed papers in the Summer/Fall Season Pass collection. The rainbow pencil patterned papers and rulers were used for my opening page. I used a few of the pencil, paint brush and paint ephemera were the perfect embellishments. I printed my photo to fit full page and I simply love the look.

For the next page, I used the cut apart page to make it look like a pocket page in my 6x8 album. Printing photos in 4x6 and 3x4 size match each cut apart page and the configuration comes together effortlessly.

My formula for selecting pocket cards is always; 1 journaling card, 1 sentiment and/or patterned card. I loved the book bag illustration and stamped 'something about this moment' from the "Glimmers 2" stamp set and 'a day brighter' on my journal card.

'Back to the Routine' with all the pencils and brushes was my favorite card and had to use it with my photo of school supplies. The first week of school has been great for my little one. She states she 'loves her teacher and is so happy to be with my 2 best friends.' This makes my mom heart very happy.

I cannot wait to fill this insert with more stories all about this school year. It is one of my favorite projects on my memory keeping roaster.
