A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words | Design Team: Tai Cortes
Hello crafty friends! It’s Tai and I have a traveler’s notebook project to share with you and the new release from Layle by Mail. For the month of September, a few new stamps were released and I loved the new camera available. I had ideas to turn it into a swivel option or even on a 4x6 pocket card for PL. These ideas I shall certainly make in the future but for my first play with it, I turned my camera into a top loading pocket.

On a piece of white card stock I did some ink blending with a light purple oxide ink and then repeat stamped ‘focus on’ with pink ink. The phrase is also available on the camera stamp set. Once I was done with that part I stamped the camera with embossing ink and black embossing powder for it to be nice and bold. I took my time and fussy cut it out.

I enjoyed the repeat stamping, so I decided to create my own background with the same effect. I selected ‘worth a thousand words’ with a green oxide ink and repeat stamped it as the background. I selected a green color for contrast with my purple camera. It definitely pops.
